After qualifying to the knock-out stages of the AFC Champions League in its first participation in the competition, Tianjin Quanjian comes back to China committed to the national championship.

Paulo Sousa’s squad wants to find its way back to winning after a 1-0 lost at home in the last round to Guangzhou Evergrande, result that doesn’t reflect what was shown on the field. Next game will be in the upcoming sunday, 8th april, against Guizhou Zhicheng, direct opponent in the Chinese Super League ranking.

With the same number of points, victories, draws and losses, the next adversary is behind Tianjin Quanjian due to the goal difference. The encounter statistics are better for Sousa’s team, wich has two wins and one loss in the last three matches against Gregorio Manzano’s squad.

The motivation to fight for the three points away from home comes right from the performance that guaranteed the qualyifing to the next phase of AFC Champions League.
